DesignSmart was launched in the United States in 2010 under the name of The Smart Designer. Our project management software system for interior design firms has always been called “DesignSmart“, and  in 2024 we changed our company name to DesignSmart to match the name of our software system.

In August 2025, we released to the European market an enhanced international version of DesignSmart, which allows projects to deal in multiple currencies.
